A woman in her 30s was airlifted to hospital after she was hit by a bus in Wembley on Sunday morning.

Ambulance crews rushed to the scene of the collision in Harrow Road shortly after 10am and treated the woman for critical head and leg injuries.

London air ambulance crews airlifted the woman to the Royal London Hospital hospital where she is understood to be in a critical condition.

A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called just after 10am on Sunday 17 January to Harrow Road to reports of a road traffic collision.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene including London’s Air Ambulance, an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car, who arrived in four minutes of the call coming in to our control room .

“We treated a woman in her 30s for head and leg injuries and she was air lifted to the Royal London Hospital.”
