Margaret White was visited by the Mayor of Brent
A long standing resident has marked her centenary year in style with a special celebration in Willesden.
Margaret White, a resident of Young Court, in Willesden Lane, celebrated with friends and family.
Margaret, who turned 100 yesterday, Wednesday, was one of the first tenants to move into Young Court and has lived there for 27 years.
She was also visited by Mayor of Brent, Cllr Bobby Thomas and her nephew who flew over from America specifically for the occasion.
Young Court is part of the Jewish Community Housing Association which provides sheltered housing for members of the Jewish community.
Sara Clarke, Chief Executive of JCHA, said: “Margaret is one of our original tenants at Young Court and has been living with the Association for 27 years. It was a pleasure to mark this special birthday with her.”
