A woman from Willesden died after she was struck by a train at Dollis Hill Underground Station on Friday evening.

Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) and paramedics were called to the station on Chapter Road to reports of a person under a train shortly after 8pm on January 15.

The woman, who has not been named but is believed to be 48 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman’s family has been informed and her death is not being treated as suspicious.

Transport for London said the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines were part suspended while emergency services attended.

A spokesman for BTP said: “Our officers were called to Dollis Hill London Underground station on Friday, 15 January, to a report of a person struck by a train.

“Officers attended the scene alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and a woman, believed to be 48 and from Willesden, north London, was pronounced dead at the scene.”

A file will be prepared for the coroner.
