Alperton and Tokyngton wards have been put on alert following heavy rainfall
Parts of the borough have been issued with a flood warning as the heavy rainfall could cause the River Brent to burst its banks.
Properties near the river in Alperton and Tokyngton wards have been put on alert by the Environment Agency (EA) although flooding is not currently expected.
The EA website states: “River levels will continue to respond to the heavy rainfall we have received and there is still the possibility the river could come out of banks in places and causing flooding to low lying land and roads.
“We will continue to monitor the situation closely”
