Residents in Harlesden and Park Royal are being warned to keep their windows and doors closed as fire fighters tackle a blaze at a nearby industrial unit.

Crews were called to the fire in Midland Terrace, Park Royal at 8.40am.

Eight fire engines and 58 fire-fighters are dealing with the fire on half of the building’s ground floor and a part of the roof.

John Ryan, station manager, who is at the scene said: “There is a lot of thick black smoke in the local area so we’re asking nearby residents to close their doors and windows.”

The cause of the fire is unknown.
