A broken railway crossing barrier caused hours of traffic chaos leaving motorists seething today (Tuesday).
The faulty barrier controlling traffic into Hythe Road industrial estate off Scrubs Lane, College Park, caused massive morning delays for lorries trying to drop off or pick up loads.
More than 50 lorries stacked up in lines on either side of the barrier, with many parked down the side of the main road.
Buses also faced delays, as the traffic jam extended past White City Tube station, nearly a mile away and affecting traffic in Harrow Road both towards Harlesden and to Kensal Green.
