The adroit way in which Hot Chip have been both dance vibe gurus and soulful techno pop stars to produce four great albums is a sign of genius.
Songs like Ready For The Floor and Over And Over have had people entranced over the last decade while the likes of Colours and One Pure Thought had a lyrical depth to inspire anyone.
Moving on from 2008’s outstanding Made In The Dark this is their most coherent assembly yet – less busy than previous offerings.
The fact that both I Feel Better and Keep Quiet were, according to Taylor, written by Joe Goddard after he had watched Susan Boyle’s first performance on Britain’s Got Talent must not put anyone off.
