Review of The Year
It’s long been called ‘dream pop’ and the soundscapes offered by Baltimore pairing Beach House ebb and flow beautifully.
Teen Dream, their third work is another step on the road to glory, but there is the feeling that even better is still to come.
Here, though, they have really found their feet with Victoria Legrand’s dusky vocals merging with the keyboard work in glorious fashion. Alex Scally’s guitar provides the magical counterpoint.
This is easily the most listenable of their works and songs like Walk In The Park and Real Love show lyrical qualities of the highest order.
