Cops to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court
Three police officers have been charged with assaulting two people who were in a car they pulled over.
PC Anthony Read, 35, PC Karl Bartlett, 42, and 37-year-old PC Colin Nye are accused of common assault after they stopped the vehicle in Hanger Lane, Alperton, on March 1 this year.
The charges have been announced today (Tuesday) following an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission
All three will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 28.
