A social enterprise cinema in Kensal Rise is welcoming a string of prominent film writers, critics and curators through its doors with a set of cultural screenings.
Film fans attending the Lexi Film School in Chamberlayne Road will be taken through film history and introduced to current debates in cinema culture.
The events tonight, on then on June 4, 11, 18 and 25 at 6.30pm, begin with a two-minute welcome from cinema chiefs before the evening’s guest speaker provides a 15-minute introduction to the film.
Sally Wilton, founder of The Lexi, said: “The Lexi Film School is something we’ve been hoping to launch for a while. Hopefully the selection of influential film critics and curators we’ve been lucky to secure will provoke some fantastic debate and leave our visitors feeling even more enthusiastic about the power of cinema to make a difference in the world”.
The Lexi donates 100 per cent of all profits to charity.
