Bob the Builder will be greeting young shoppers tomorrow
A supermarket giant has given two charities £500 each to mark the opening of a new branch in the borough.
Tesco Metro handed over the sum to Rays of Sunshine and the SAMEC Trust at the launch of the store in the heart of Wembley Central.
Frankie Holah and Olivia Woolf, fundraising managers from Rays of Sunshine were joined by Saleem Akhtar, Chairperson and Stephanie Petit, volunteer of SAMEC trust, as the guests of honour before enjoying champagne and cake with staff and customers to celebrate the opening.
Bob the Builder will be in the store tomorrow to meet and greet young shoppers, along with complimentary children’s face painting from 11am.
Mark Rafferty, store manager, said: “We have really enjoyed our store launch celebrations and I would like to thank Frankie, Olivia and Saleem for joining us.
“It has been brilliant to meet our new customers and hear their feedback on the store and the services and ranges.”
