The Mayhew Animal Home in Trenmar Gardens, Kensal Green, were forced to take them all in and a cat after they were found in Wembley and Queen’s Park.

Six of the kittens arrived from an address in Wembley, where the owner was unable to cope after their mother died.

A further four were found with their stray mother who was also taken in by the Mayhew.

All 10 kittens have been placed in foster homes where they are being hand-reared.

The Mayhew offers low-cost neutering for cats as unneutered ones will go outside and breed with local stray and feral cats.

This leads to litters being born in gardens and abandoned buildings and therefore becoming vulnerable to the outside elements.
