Police appealing for people to come forward with information
A teenager is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the back in Sudbury.
The 15-year-old was walking along Aspen Drive, opposite the Esso petrol station in Watford Road, when he noticed a gang loitering at the entrance to the alley.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries
Detective Sergeant Edward Salter said: “This was a mindless act and could have had more serious consequences. Please call the police or Crimestoppers today and we can prevent this happening to someone else.”
If anyone saw the incident or has any information please call DS Salter on 0208 733 3756 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 11. Any calls will be treated in the strictest confidence.
