A charity in Kenton is inviting people to take part in its Santa dash which takes place on December 14.

The annual event, which raises thousands for St Luke’s Hospice in Kenton Road, will see hundreds of people participating in the three mile event dressed up like Father Christmas.

The Santas will be entertained by the White City TA - 20 Company Corps of Drummers before the dash and will receive a medal and a mince pie on completion. Participants of all ages are welcome and they can even bring along the family dog.

Danny Watkins, who took part in the event last year and also came first, said: ‘St Luke’s is a great cause and a local charity. The Santa Dash was a nice friendly run, well organised and well marshalled.”

The dash starts at 11am and you will be provided with a Santa suit.

Registration is £12 for adults, £7 for under 16s and £29 for families (2 adults and 3 children).
