Students at Preston Manor school have been quick to praise the work of their teachers following a strong set of GCSE results.

The school performed well this year, seeing 40 percent of its exams graded A* to B and 19pc graded A* or A, and also boasted having no fewer than 19 students receiving straight A*s and As.

And student Disha Dagli, who managed eight A*s and one A, was quick to thank her teachers for helping her in her studies.

“I’m really thankful to all the teachers that have helped me throughout these past 5 years,” she said.

“The extra challenges, the tailoring tasks to suit different abilities –if you didn’t push me that hard then I don’t think I would have got these results so thank you.”

Headteacher Beth Kobel also praised the teachers at the school, and congratulated the students on their impressive results:

“I am so pleased that these young people, who have had real challenges thrown at them, can now go forward with A Levels or college,” she said.
