Jack Petchey CBE, 88, founder, said: “I am passionate about our awards scheme which enables young people to be recognised, valued and rewarded for their achievements and positive contributions to society.”

Cllr Bobby Thomas, Mayor of Brent, attended the event which took place at Oakington Manor Hall in Wembley.

He said: “We have some very inspiring young people in Brent and I thank the Jack Petchey Foundation for giving them a voice in the local community.

“To hear stories of their achievements so far, and to witness the pride and admiration they have received from their schools and families is amazing.”
