The red and white signage on its branch at Staples Corner is a landmark site and it will now disappear for good.

Other high street names that have disppeared in Brent

C&A, Comet Dixons, Ravel, Rumbelows, Tandy and Woolworths

Office stationery brand Staples will be phased out over the next coming months after the company’s US owner revealed today it has sold the business.

This includes the large branch on the North Circular Road at Staples Corner.

The struggling company has been bought by restructuring specialist Hilco for a “nominal sum”.

Hilco said it would phase out the Staples brand over the coming months.

It is not know how this will affect the 1,100 staff across its 106 stores.
