Stallholders are needed for this year’s action-packed South Kilburn Family Festival which takes place on July 23.
The annual free community event by the South Kilburn Trust includes a main stage with live music, performers and sports activities, as well as inflatable games and children’s activities.
While lots of food traders have signed up the festival still needs other sellers especially those specialising in arts, crafts, clothing and other items.
Kilburn Park Primary School, which is situated next to South Kilburn Open Space where then festival takes part, have partnered with the trust to deliver this year’s event and will host the ‘Nature Learning Zone’ from their premises focusing on fun, family-friendly learning about nature.
The festival will be the culmination of a week of events and activities in South Kilburn which begins on July 19.
Mark Allan, chief executive at the South Kilburn Trust, said: “I’m always excited about the summer festival, which has run in the area for over 10 years and we at the trust are proud to keep this important event happening.
“For the past two years, the festival has been organised by the South Kilburn Trust alongside a resident committee, and with the large-scale regeneration of the area, it is important for everybody that there is an occasion to celebrate South Kilburn, as well as making newer residents feel welcome.
“The family-focused theme will ensure a great atmosphere on the day.”
Laurence Keele, headteacher at Kilburn Park Primary School, added: “We are really excited to be working with the South Kilburn Trust on this amazing community event – what a great way to end the term.
“The children are looking forward to the day and if last year’s event is anything to go by, it’s going to be a great day.”
The trust has a range of opportunities available for local people to participate in the festival.
