Tom Carroll revealed his delight at returning to the QPR side after the young midfielder helped Rangers sweep aside Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
The on-loan Spurs youngster had been forced to return to Tottenham for treatment on an ankle injury he picked up with England Under-21s, which kept him out since early October.
But he made his comeback for Harry Redknapp’s side for a routine victory over Bournemouth, as Charlie Austin, Junior Hoilett and Matt Phillips all found the net.
And Carroll is now targeting a run of games in the Rangers side. “It is good to be back after a few weeks out injured,” said the 21-year-old. “We played some good stuff especially in the second half, and to win 3-0 is really promising after winning by one goal recently.
“At the time [of his injury] I was gutted because things were just starting to go well for me, and I was playing for England Under-21s.
“It’s good to be back and I want to get games under my belt. I had a week back at Tottenham with Tim Sherwood to get my fitness back. That has helped me last the 90 minutes tonight.”
