Eight men scaled three mountains in under 24 hours which will allow special needs pupils in Kensal Rise access to drama sessions.
The group took on the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales on July 8 raising more than £4,950 for the drama charity Roundabout.
The money raised will enable free dramatherapy sessions for the pupils at the Manor School, in Chamberlayne Road.
The men scaled Ben Nevis in Scotland, which stands at 1344m, Scafell Pike in the Lake District, the smallest at 978m, and then headed to Wales’ 1085m Mt Snowdon, all in 23 hours 10 minutes.
Louise Kimber, deputy head of Manor School, said: “Roundabout are such a great organisation to work with. They are really flexible and have a really good understanding our children’s needs. Drama improves their confidence particularly out in the community. We’re really pleased to have this extra funding next year.”
