Six finalists to battle for the Brent Musician of the Year 2018 title

Six young students have been selected to battle it out for Brent’s Musician of the Year 2018 title.
Flautists Skye Kimber, 15, and Anna Sinko Uribe, 14, from Queens Park Community School, will go head to head with their instruments at Claremont High School in Claremont Avenue at 7pm on March 7.
Arabella Parmar, 14, from Claremont High School, will compete with her violin as will 15-year-old Sasha Scott, from The Purcell School.
Julia Rosiak, 16, from The Brit School, hopes to sing to victory and guitar player Oscar O’Flanagan, 16, from Mill Hill School, completes the contenders.
Brent Young Musician of the Year is a biennial competition presented by Brent Music Service in association with Wembley Charitable. It aims to identify, showcase and celebrate talented musicians aged 13 to 18 who live or attend school in the borough.
Eric Angus, deputy head of service, said: “It is always such a thrill to be able to provide a platform for musical talent to flourish.”
