A shop in Brent is facing legal action after it sold a bottle of whisky to a boy aged just 11.
The store was caught out breaking the law by Brent Council’s trading standard officers during a crackdown on Wednesday.
As part of the day-long operation they carried out a number of sting operations to find shops that were happy to sell alcohol to under 18s.
Officers also seized illegal cigarettes that failed to carry mandatory health warnings and unclassified DVDs from shops across Brent.
Brent Council tweeted about the officers’ progress throughout the day using the hashtag #OurDay.
