One dead and three injured in smash involving Nissan Micra which failed to stop for police
A schoolboy has died after the car he was travelling in crashed into a tree in Brondesbury Park this morning.
The 15-year-old was killed and three other males, all believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, were injured in the smash at the junction of Brondesbury Park and Honeyman Close, at 12.28am.
One of the injured men is in a critical condition the other two are serious but stable.
All four were in a Nissan Micra which failed to stop after being flagged down by police in Carlton Vale, Kilburn.
Officers followed the car for a minute before it drove off in the direction of Brondesbury Park.
The car had not been reported lost or stolen and it is not thought any other vehicle was involved in the crash.
Officers from the Directorate of Professional Standards (DPS) are investigating, supported by officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit at Alperton.
