A TEENAGE girl stars alongside England and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney in his nationwide hunt for the best street football talent.

Sue Kumaning, 16, from Kingsbury, will appear in the second series of Coke Zero Presents: Wayne Rooney's Street Striker.

She showed her skills at a trial last month where she beat off competition from thousands of youngsters to impress the judges and net her place on the show.

Sue said: "Playing football has always been a massive part of my life. I play for Arsenal Ladies so it a great experience to take part. I enjoyed the street football challenges on the show. They put you to the test.

"You feel the pressure when the cameras are on you and Wayne is watching. You want to do a good job and impress him.

"To get tips on my football skills from him was just incredible, as he's such a great player and how many people in the world get that sort of advice from their football heroes?

"Being on the show inspired me to practice a lot more and work harder on my skills to be a better."

The talented footballer, who supports Queen's Park Rangers, was selected from the trial after showing the judges that she best embodied Rooney's passion, determination, skill and raw talent.

She now joins 23 teenagers from around the UK to go head-to-head in front of new dad Wayne on the three-part show, which begins on Sky1 HD and Sky1 at 6pm on Sunday.

Wayne, who judges the youngsters on the show, said: "Sue did very well to be selected for the show.

"The standard of competition this year was tough. I was impressed by her ball skills as she worked hard on them.

"There are some great street football challenges in the show and they're not easy. You'll have to watch the show to see how she gets on."
