Dozens of residents rushed out into the street in their pyjamas after being woken by the sound of a car overturning on Lancelot road shortly before 3am on August 16.

Ruth Kent said: “I heard the smash, it sounded like a big massive crash. It woke me and all the neighbours up.

“I looked out of my balcony and there were blue lights flashing with a group of people standing around a car on its roof and a man being treated by paramedics.”

Ambulance crews rushed one man with facial injuries to St Mary’s Hospital while another patient was taken to Northwick Hospital for treatment.

The overturned vehicle remained in the middle of the street until 7:30am as police officers carried out enquiries.

Police investigating the circumstances of a road traffic collision at Lancelot Way have charged Marian Scorghion, 25, of Alliance Close, Wembley with aggravated vehicle taking and driving without insurance.

He has been released on police bail to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on September 1.
