Residents can help make a difference at a clean up of Brent River Park in Wembley tomorrow.

To celebrate the park’s 10th birthday, volunteers will also be asked to help plant 750 daffodils bulbs.

Make a Difference Day is organised by Brent Council, Thames21, the Friends of Brent River Park and Brent Youth Volunteers.

Cllr Muhammed Butt, leader of Brent Council, who has taken part in MADD events since 2007, said: “We want to encourage as many volunteers as possible to come and take part in our MADD event.

“By working together on projects like this we can make a real difference to local environmental hotspots like Brent River Park.

“The 750 daffodils bulbs we’re going to plant on this action day will make a great symbol of the pride Brent residents take in their area when they bloom in spring.”

Old clothes are essential, children must be with adults and equipment will be provided.

Volunteers should meet at the children’s play area off Vivian Avenue, Wembley, at 10.30am..
