Rabbits are hopping for a new home

The Mayhew Animal Home is looking for new owners for their abandoned pets

These three furry friends are looking for a new home after a Camden pet shop owner abandoned 13 rabbits earlier this month.

Next week marks Rabbit Awareness Week and the Mayhew Animal Home in Trenmar Gardens, Kensal Green, is hosting a series of rabbit-specific clinics to mark the event.

Caroline Yates, chief executive officer at the Mayhew, said: “Sadly, rabbits are quite undervalued and people are not necessarily aware of their specialist needs and requirements, particularly when they are bought on a whim as a child’s pet.”

The ‘Roger Rabbit’ Clinic runs on Tuesday May 24 from 3-4pm and Wednesday 25 from 2:30-3:30pm.
