Currents Rs boss to reach milestone against Blades

Ian Holloway will celebrate his 300th game in charge of Queens Park Rangers when they host Sheffield United in the Championship on Tuesday night.

The 54-year-old is in his second stint in the hotseat at Loftus Road, having previously managed QPR from 2001 to 2006.

The Rs will head into the clash with the league leaders buoyant having beaten promotion-chasing Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 on Saturday.

And Holloway believes the visit of the Blades will be another great spectacle involving the west Londoners.

“The way Sheffield United play is a credit to (their manager) Chris Wilder,” Holloway told the club website.

“They are attack minded and he deserves enormous credit for the way he goes about things.

“They are almost fearless in how they play and I think it’s going to be one hell of a game.”

Despite winning at home on Saturday, QPR will be forced into at least one change for the clash with United after defender Joel Lynch picked up a fifth booking of the season against Wolves.

But while Holloway admits it is disappointing he has to tinker with a winning side, he does not expect it to detract from the game.

“I’d like to have picked the same team again after Saturday but I can’t do,” added the Rs boss.

“When you look at what I have done I think people will definitely be looking forward to a very exciting game.

“That’s all I can say. I want to try and fight fire with fire. I thoroughly enjoyed the way my lads got at Wolves and we are going to need to do the same again.”
