A woman dubbed the ‘Queen Of Complaints’ held a launch for her first book at an independent store in Queen’s Park.
Ingrid Stone signed copies of ‘Letters of a Dissatisfied Woman’ at Queens Park Books in Salusbury Road.
Her book catalogues the handwritten complaint letters she wrote to companies, and the author said of the book: “Every letter and response is genuine - including my first ever complaint letter written aged eight - and featuring everything from can-openers that should be re-named can’t-openers to cocoa powder that tastes like bad breath.”
The 40-year-old was given her regal nickname by a daily newspaper.
Joy Konyn, manager of the store, said: “The shop was full.
“She read out complaint number 14 about fairtrade hot chocolate and had everyone in stitches.
“It was a bit unusual for us as it was a very glamorous event with Ingrid and two photographers!”
