Andy Johnson could be set to return for QPR’s trip to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, but winger Junior Hoilett looks likely to remain sidelined.

Hoilett picked up a hamstring strain in last weekend’s home win over Ipswich Town, and Redknapp confirmed he is unlikely to feature against the Trotters.

Striker Johnson, however, who is struggling with a groin strain, is set to undergo a fitness assessment on Friday, and could play a part.

“Andy trained this week and could be available,” said Redknapp. “He’s having an assessment today and we’re hoping he’s available.

“Junior is struggling, which is a shame because he has been outstanding so far this season, absolutely fantastic.”

Midfielder Alejandro Faurlin could be in line to play, as he completes his recovery from a thigh strain picked up before the match with Huddersfield two weeks ago.
