Blackpool striker set to have talks with the club

Blackpool striker DJ Campbell will travel to London today to pave the way for his move to QPR.

The Tangerines forward will discuss personal terms with Rangers after the club had a bid accepted last week having met Blackpool’s 1.2million release clause.

Hammersmith-born Campbell scored 13 goals for Ian Holloway’s side in the Premier League last season, and is thought to favour a move to west London.

Rangers have fought of the attention of West Ham United as they bid to seal the 29-year-old’s signature, and, despite Aston Villa’s reported attempt to hijack the deal, Rs boss Neil Warnock is confident of making Campbell his fourth addition of the summer after Jay Bothroyd, Kieron Dyer and Danny Gabbidon.
