Budding entrepreneurs keen to pop up a new business in Kilburn gathered for the first of a series of special programmes designed to give them support and training to ensure their ventures get off to a flying start.
More than 30 aspiring business owners gathered at South Kilburn Studios in Canterbury Road, for the first in a series of strategy and advice workshops designed by the PopUp Business School in association with the South Kilburn Trust last week.
The inaugural session, entitled “The magic ingredient of business” taught guests about the importance of confidence when it comes to setting up a business and making a profit.
Lauren Baily, South Kilburn Trust’s business and enterprise manager, said, “The pop up school uses innovative ways to help people establish themselves in business. The programme started with all entrepreneurs tearing up a rule booklet on how to start a business and instead applying innovative methods to running a business in modern society.”
Places can still be reserved for upcoming Wednesday evening sessions on May 27 ‘Selling socially’ and June 3 ‘Creating a strong foundation for your business’.
