A police officer based in Westminster has been sacked by the Met after he breached a restraining order by contacting his ex-partner.
Police Constable Robert Lamey was dismissed without notice for gross misconduct following a special case hearing chaired by Assistant Commissioner Martin Hewitt today.
The hearing heard the 49-year-old called and sent a text message to his ex despite being the subject of a restraining order since January 21.
In April, he was convicted of breaching of the restraining order and subsequently sentenced to 24 weeks in jail suspended for 18 months and fined £345.
He was also ordered to attend a rehabilitation course
