Police in Brent were called by a parent yesterday because their nine-year-old child PINCHED them in an argument.

Officers revealed the call took place in the borough yesterday on social networking site Twitter with the hashtag #wecouldbepinchingcriminals.

It is not know whether officers attended the address but the revelation had a mixed reaction from Twitter users.

@BlueTemplar64, who claims to be a police officer with 22 years service, tweeted: “not a police matter. Absolutely not. PLEASE tell me we didn’t send a unit to this?”

While ‏@iofiv defended the parent’s action tweeting: “Often “I called my Social Worker for help & they said I had to report it to the Police.....”
