Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a 74-year-old man died after a collision with a bus in Brent Cross yesterday evening.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene on Tempelhof Avenue at around 7.18 pm on Wednesday after receiving reports of a car colliding with a route 189 bus.

The 74-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin have been informed.

Two passengers travelling on the bus at the time of the crash were taken to a north London hospital with minor injuries.

The bus driver stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.

Police in Alperton would like anyone who saw the silver Ford Fiesta in the lead up to the collision or anyone who witnessed the crash to contact detectives on 0208 991 9555.
