Singer and reality TV Star Peter Andre officially opened a new children’s play park in Wembley.
The father-of-four, who was born in Brent, was joined by his family at the launch at the London Designer Outlet on Saturday.
As well as pieces of play equipment, from roundabouts to seesaws, the facility features a replica of the old Wembley Stadium Twin Towers; complete with a rope bridge, climbing net and a third floor slide to the bottom.
The Mysterious Girl singer also launched a charity initiative with Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK - a charity that grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.
LDO will donate £1 to the charity for every entry they received for their drawing competition where children can send in sketches of their dream playground to win a family-day-out prize.
Mr Andre said: “We love a family day out, so the kids and I really enjoyed opening the park and having a bite to eat and doing some outlet shopping.
“As a local lad who grew up around the corner it is absolutely amazing the regeneration at Wembley Park; and the play park is a great example of this, which all the family can enjoy.
“We’re also excited to have launched the children’s drawing competition with Make-A-Wish. As a Dad of four, helping children in need is a cause very close to my heart, and I’m looking forward to seeing the cool play park ideas that the local kids of Wembley Park come up with.”
LDO, which is in Wembley Park Boulevard, offers shoppers up to 70 per cent of retail shops, 15 restaurants and a nine-screen Cineworld cinema.
