Former armed service members will be back on the march in honour of their fallen comrades this Remembrance Sunday.

The Royal British Legion West Kilburn branch is marking its 65th anniversary with a parade along Carlton Vale to St Augustine Church for a remembrance service, and back again.

Youngest marcher, seven-year-old Simon Kehoe, will be proudly wearing the medals of his great-grandfather, who served in World War One.

his mum and volunteer poppy collector, Elaine Kehoe, said: "I don't think we should forget. The armed service members gave a lot for us. It's just one day a year where people can say: 'Thank you'."

The community is invited to join the parade, which will begin at 9.30am at the RBL West Kilburn branch, 1a Albert Road.

The Civic Remembrance Service and Parade will be held at the memorial site in Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Barham Park, Wembley.

During the service the mayor will lay the first wreath which a cadet will carry until the appropriate time, this will be followed by the deputy lieutenant.

If party leaders wish subsequently to also lay wreaths this would be in order. Others wishing to lay tributes will then follow.

At the end of the service, Sunset Ceremony will be performed and then, weather permitting, the parade will march past with the Mayor and Deputy Lord Lieutenant taking the salute.

The Royal British Legion Remembrance Service is held at St John the Evangelist Church in Crawford Avenue, Wembley, from 10.35am to noon.

l TERRITORIAL army regiments will be marching the streets to mark the anniversary of the end of the World War One.

Members from the Parachute Regiment, 31 Signal Regiment, the Royal Yeomanry, University of London Royal Naval Unit and the University of London Air Squadron will march from Kensington Town Hall to the war memorial at St Mary Abbot's Church in Church Street, Kensington, on Sunday.

Meanwhile, on Sunday there will be a procession from Parsons Green Lane in Fulham at 10.20am to Fulham War Memorial in Vicarage Garden, next to All Saints' Church and one to Shepherd's Bush War Memorial leaving from Sulgrave Road at 10.15am.

Also on Sunday the Queen and state dignitaries will join ex-service members at the Cenotaph in Whitehall for the national Service of Remembrance at 10.30am.
