Top British film maker Richard Curtis has found inspiration for his next blockbuster on the streets of Brent.

Residents and visitors to Kilburn today (Tuesday) and tomorrow could find themselves in the middle of the Hollywood machine as a film crew has descended upon Brondesbury Road.

Mr Curtis, who wrote and directed Notting Hill, is using the street for the final few shots of his next film About Time.

The movie, starring Bill Nighy, Rachel McAdams and Domhnall Gleeson, is described as ‘a fantastical feel-good movie about a man and his ability to travel back in time, who eventually meets the girl of his dreams’.

A spokesman for Working Titles, the production company behind the film, confirmed to the Times that a film crew was on site in Brondesbury Road and that they were due to stay all day and tomorrow morning.

The spokesman said that the crew were filming the final few shots for the film, which is due out in March next year, and that Domhnall was on expected on site both days.
