Neasden: Driver arrested and bailed in connection with fatal collision
The driver of a lorry involved in a collision which caused the death of a pensioner has been arrested and bailed by police.

An elderly man in his 70s died yesterday afternoon after he was struck by a lorry while crossing the road, as it turned into Dollis Hill Lane from the Neasden roundabout.
London Air ambulance crews rushed to the scene and paramedics battled for more than an hour to save him, but he died at the scene.
The male driver was arrested and questioned at Wembley police station.
He was later bailed to return to the station in January.
A post mortem will be carried out at Northwick Park hospital and an inquest will be opened at Barnet Coroner’s Court.

Detective Sergeant Chris Osborne of the Alperton’s Road Death Investigation Unit urged witnesses to come forward.
