Brush off any winter blues at a fun free festival taking place in Neasden.

Volunteers from Neasden Festival Group are hosting their very first winter festival this Saturday at St Catherine’s Church, in Neasden Lane, from 6.30pm-9.30pm.

The mayor of Brent, Cllr Bhagwanji Chohan, is among local community representatives attending the party.

Entertainment includes performances from dancers, singers and drummers. A saxaphone player and pianist are among musicians showcasing their talents.

The raffle offers a range of prizes donated by local businesses and residents and there are also refreshments available.

All donations from the evening will be given to the Sufra Foodbank in Pitfield Way

Ann Wells, one of the organisers, said: “The aim of the festival is to celebrate and champion Neasden. This event offers an opportunity for the diverse community to meet each other. It also showcases the talents of local artists.”

Partners involved include local police, Brent Neighbourhood Watch Association, Cairnfield Residents Association, Neasden Business Association, Daniels Estate Agents, McGowans Estate Agents and My Romanian Community.

This festival follows the successful summer events of 2015 and 2016.
