Thanos Papalexis, 36, was arrested in Palm Beach Florida, last week on suspicion of murdering Charalambos Petru Christodoulides.

The body of the 57-year-old was found in his flat within a disused wine factory on Banister Road, Kilburn, on March 25, 2000.

Papalexis, a property developer, will be sent back to Britain to stand trial for murder.

Two other men have been remanded in custody charged with Mr Christodoulides' murder.
