Report by GMB union shows the borough’s figure is above average

More than half of the borough’s workforce travel to work by public transport and a third by motor vehicle, a report has shown.

The report, by workplace union GMB, showed that 56.7 per cent of the workers in Brent who travel to work do so by public transport, taking either tube, train, tram or bus.

This is above the average for London of 52.6 per cent.

The figures for mode of travelling to work are in a new report published at the GMB Congress in Plymouth which started last weekend.
