More than 200 free and affordable activities for four to 19 year-olds will be on offer during the summer holidays.

Brent in Summer - Brent Council’s programme of sport, library and youth holiday activities - has opened for bookings and begins on July 27.

Some events need booking, some don’t, some are free and some have to be paid for.

Participants can also sign up for all activities, including those at Bridge Park, at three enrolment days.

The first is at Brent Civic Centre in Engineers Way, Wembley, on July 13 (12 to 4pm) where participants will be able to enjoy table tennis, face painting, nail art, caricature portrait drawing and a dance workshop while making their choices.

Additional enrolment days are at Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre in Brentfield, Stonebridge (July 18, 12 -8pm) and Roundwood Youth Centre in Longstone Avenue, Willesden (July 20, 12 - 4pm).

Cllr Roxanne Mashari, the council’s lead member for environment and neighbourhoods, said: “No matter what your abilities or interests, there’s something for every young person or child.

“You can do something you love or try something new, learn for the fun of it, develop a new skill or boost your career prospects.”
