Factory staff present cheque for more than 4,000
KIND-hearted workers have donated more than 4,000 to a cancer charity after throwing themselves into an array of fundraising activities.
Staff at the McVitie’s factory in Waxlow Road, Harlesden, raised the cash for the Macmillian Cancer Support in a fun filled year of events including a quiz night, a football tournament and several 5k fun runs.
This morning (Wednesday), they handed over a cheque for 4,157 from their fundraising antics to Macmillian.
Every year the workers raise money for a number of charities and donated a total of 7,667 to several organisations last year including 727 for Prostate Cancer and 2,793 for Pakistan flood victims.
