Westminster City Council will build properties for people with learning difficulties
Council chiefs have been given £1million to go towards a development of homes for people with learning difficulties.
Westminster City Council placed a successful bid for the fund from the Mayor of London’s office.
The cash will go towards the cost of building the 24 specialist homes in Harrow Road, Queen’s Park.
Cllr Jonathan Glanz, Westminster Council’s cabinet member for housing and property said: “These state of the art homes will provide people with their own front door, while also providing the care they need on site.
“We are committed to creating and maintaining mixed communities and boosting our housing stock, so are delighted that we have been successful in bidding for this contribution from the Mayor’s fund.”
