DETECTIVES are appealing for help after a man was run over by an ambulance in the early hours shortly after he was hit by another vehicle.

The man, aged 24, was lying in the road in Preston Hill, Kingsbury, on Sunday September 27 when an ambulance, which was not on an emergency call, hit him at around 4.50am.

The victim was taken to a northwest London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police are calling for anyone who may have been in the Preston Hill area before 4.50am to contact them.

Residents of the road, which is known to be very quiet, are also asked to contact police if they heard anything suspicious.
