A man received treatment from the London Ambulance service after escaping a blaze which ripped through a Harlesden home in the early hours of this morning.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers raced to the property in Rucklidge Avenue to tackle the fire which damaged half of the ground floor.

The Brigade was called at around 1.44am and the fire was brought under control at 3am.

Fire engines from Willesden, Park Royal and North Kensington fire stations attended the incident.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
