Incident currently being treated as 'non-suspicious'

A man has been killed after he was struck by a train in Kilburn.

Officers were called to Kilburn Park Station following the incident this afternoon (Thursday).

The man, who police have not formerly identified, was struck by a Bakerloo Line train travelling northbound.

A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said officers were called to the scene at around 2pm but that he was pronounced dead at the scene.

He added: “Officers from BTP and Metropolitan Police Service attended the incident, which is currently being treated as non-suspicious.

“Medics from the London Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the man’s identity and inform his family. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”

The incident caused suspension and delays on the Bakerloo Line this afternoon.
