Two of Cricklewood’s long serving bingo players raised a tasty £400 for a cancer charity.
Annette Willis, 66, and Jackie Augier,53, along with friend Shera Baptiste, played host to the National MacMillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Beacon Bingo on September 29 topping last year’s total with an extra £100.
The trio baked and up sweet and savoury delicacies including Red Velvet cupcakes and Saltfish fritters with plenty for vegan, vegetarian and diabetic customers
Jackie said: Having The Beacon on board to help us raise money is great, as they also support and raise funds for other charities, and the club members themselves have been generous! We served from 12 noon to 10pm, it was a long day but great fun!”
Annette added: “The bingo managers have been fantastic once again, in giving us the time and space to hold the event, as well as providing flyers to promote the event to all the bingo members and making announcements to promote the sale throughout the day.”
