A driver had a lucky escape after his car flipped over while driving over controversial road humps in Willesden.
The motorist walked away from the crash in Donnington Road on Tuesday morning much to the amazement of witnesses.
Lesley Sunderland told the Times: “He (the driver) admitted he was going about 30mph but said the enormity and sudden appearance of the speed hump made him panic and the car went out of control.
“He is lucky to be alive and walked away from the car.”
Residents have been battling with Brent Council after the authority installed speed bumps which were too wide for the residential street.
The blunder resulted in residents being blighted by noise and tremors from the vibrations of vehicles outside their homes.
Work to fix the bumps cost taxpayers £15,000 but residents on the street want them removed altogether.
